By request, and with Robin's permission. As is usual, I'll let Robin describe the piece:

"The Elfhame Cross is a sigil representing the journey of Thomas Rhymer, as he progressed from our world into the Underworld, under the tutelary guidance of the Faerie Queen. His journey was one of initiation; of rebirth into a powerful, insightful, and deathless condition of being. The central beam of the cross is the road to the Below, crossed by the river-barrier that Thomas faced- which was truly a twin flow of blood and tears: all the blood shed on earth and all the tears wept above soak into the ground and find their way into the Underworld, creating a barrier between the living and the dead.

Crossing it, he came to a place where two roads diverged, representing the two ordinary choices available to this world's dead. But thanks to his mystical transformation, a third road was opened to Thomas, which brought him into the Faerie-world, where he spent seven years before returning to our world with the power of prophecy. The Elfhame Cross isn't just a map of his journey, but a symbolic reminder of the hidden "third way" that Thomas was given the power to see by his initiatrix.

The Elfhame Cross represents the central esoteric mystery of the Faerie-Faith, that of transformation beyond death into a Faerie-entity. It embodies the hope of those who die and take that journey below, having symbolically enacted (while they were alive) the journey of Thomas through the symbolic "Red Meal" ritual of Bread and Wine. To bear the Elfhame Cross on one's person is to announce an alliance with, and devotion to, the Queen Below and her hidden people."
