This symbol was brought to my attention by a customer, Fanny Fae (NiankhSekhmet) . I will let Fanny Fae say a bit about it, as it is well out of my area!
"The Ancient Egyptian glyph for the word "sekhem" (s3khm) meant power. The personification of this word was found in the Lioness Goddess of both war and healing, Sekhmet, "The Powerful One". This symbol has been in use since the Third Dynasty and is connected to royal power and authority. In ancient Egypt it was the motif which specified a successful life and prestigious position. The Sekhem scepter was used to command in antiquity and still serves a strong purpose for Kemetic practitioners today. " Fanny Fae blogs at Excavating Our Souls From The Ruins.
